It's difficult for the Australian squad to achieve unprecedented feats.

The top summits have long been mastered.

This is the unit that has secured seven Cricket World Cups, plus an additional six T20 titles, and earlier maintained nearly four years unbeaten in 50-over cricket.

The remaining milestones, those for the achievement hunters, are what's still available for a side that has won it all.

It needed until Sunday's success by three wickets over India for them to accomplish their maiden ODI chase over 300, regaining their record for the highest in women's cricket's 50-over format, is, frankly, a compliment to the bowling attack that have worn canary yellow over five decades.

It's challenging for their batsmen to hold a record if not provided the opportunity.

"If you've observed me in the nets, it has been a frustrating experience because it seemed I've had no rhythm whatsoever," stated Healy.

"However when you enter the playing area, your fighting spirit activate and you simply focus on the contest."

Healy's competitive nature has continuously been her major advantage - and an irreplaceable characteristic in taking over from famous previous leader Meg Lanning.

She was tormented by India's emerging talent Kranti Gaud in the previous month's ODI series, out to the emerging pace bowler in each encounter, but on this occasion it simply offered Healy's spark.

"An opportunity to play and engage in competition with her and just have a bit of fun in that aspect, kind of motivated me," said Healy.

"To chase 330 is unfamiliar ground so I am glad we have the belief to do that now," stated Healy further.

"Ideally we won't need to do it again but, if we do, we are confident we can succeed."

Those words will be the final thing Australia's opponents at this tournament want to hear.

In recent days a sense they will succeed regardless of circumstances has only strengthened - this triumph succeeding success over Pakistan by 107 runs despite being 76-7 at one stage.

Following this Australia face Bangladesh before a match against traditional opponents England in Indore in a week and a half, by which point a semi-final place may probably be guaranteed.

It was in the semi-finals they were eliminated from the previous year's T20 World Cup in a shock defeat by South Africa - an encounter Healy missed because of torn tissue in her foot as she guided Australia for the inaugural occasion at an important competition.

So strong is her resolve, she later said she regretted not playing through the pain.

However although she later admitted those fitness problems have postponed consideration of ending her career, this tournament is expected to be her last as captain in ODI cricket and she is yet to win an international tournament as skipper.

Victory in India would lead her to the peak of her ultimate challenge.
